Innovative and Engaging Methods of Learning Readiness for Learning Preschool Program
Our Inventors Room (ages 4-5) is committed to providing a stimulating and orderly environment in which children can learn to take responsibility for their own development and progress. The bulk of our daylong School Readiness Program's educational activities take place between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
In our School Readiness Program, we focus on:
- Communicative Competence, Literacy and Numerical Skills (eg. Letter sounds, letter combinations, numerals, counting, and patterns in the Apple phonics application.etc)
- Ability to use both Fine and Gross Motor Abilities(eg. Building strength and coordination in the hands and arms; skipping, running, and balancing; utilising the correct pencil grip etc)
- Individual Growth in Social and Emotional Skills (eg. Teaching children the value of teamwork, the value of taking turns, the value of regulating one's emotions, and the value of active participation in the classroom are all skills that will serve them well in the future. etc)
- Artistry skills (eg. Learning about beat and rhythm via movement and dance, experimenting with colour and line in visual arts, and playing make-believe are all excellent ways to spend time with young children. etc)
Innovative and Engaging Methods of Learning
The early childhood education centre Little Angels has designed a curriculum that caters to each child's individual needs and interests. We take this, along with suggestions from parents, opportunities for unplanned learning, and carefully planned lessons, to create a dynamic and instructive curriculum.
